In Haryana, eight people were killed in two separate accidents today. Six people were killed and eleven injured in a road accident near Gohana in Sonipat district. The condition of four is said to be critical. The accident occurred when a jeep collided head on with a tanker near Mundlana village due to thick fog. A police official told AIR that the driver of the ill-fated jeep was racing with another jeep-taxi to pick up more passengers and his speeding vehicle collided with an oil tanker coming from the opposite side due to low visibility. In another accident at Pehowa in Kurukshetra district, two people were killed when a car collided with a truck due to low visibility.
