In Karnataka, eight persons, including seven women, were killed and five injured when a speeding lorry rammed into a stationary van near Gulbarga in the wee hours today.The victims were sitting on the road in front of the van, as one of the tires got punctured. The speeding lorry crashed into the vehicle and ran over them, police said.About 18 people had set out from Yadgir to Bidanava village to participate in the funeral ceremony of one of their relatives.Of the five injured, the condition of three is stated to be critical.
