In Karnataka, eight people have been killed in a road accident. The accident occurred when the bullock cart carrying them fell into a Channel near Belgaum. Those killed are all women and children. Police sources that the accident occurred when the ox tied to the cart was scared away from the narrow road by street dogs. The villagers were returning to their house after performing Shivaratri puja last night. The deceased belonged to Mugulihaala village. The hunt is on to fish out remaining bodies, as divers have yet to recover four more bodies when reports last came in
