In Karnataka, eight people have been killed in a road accident. The accident occurred when the bullock cart carrying them fell into a Canal near Belgaum. Those killed are all women and children. Police sources that the accident occurred when the ox tied to the cart was scared away from the narrow road by street dogs. The villagers were returning to their house after performing Shivaratri puja last night. The diseased belonged to Mugulihaala village. The hunt is on to fish out remaining bodies, as the divers had not taken out four of them when reports last came in.
