In Iraq, eight people including a senior police officer were killed and 10 others wounded when a suicide bomber wearing an explosive belt blew himself up in Tikrit yesterday. <br/> <br/>Iraq news agency quoting police source has reported that the bomber attacked commander of the Salah al-Din anti-riot police, who was conducting a search round on al-Atibaa souk in central Tikrit . The bomber blew himself up, killing the police commander, three of his bodyguards and four civilians and wounding 10 other civilians. Security forces are investigating the incident. Tikrit is the capital city of Salah al-Din province which is located 175 km north of Baghdad.<br/>
