At least eight people have been killed and twelve others injured at an off-road motor race in California. Reports say the mishap took place when a truck crashed into a crowd of spectators at the California 200 desert night race in San Bernardino County. Many of the injured have been airlifted to hospital. Police are investigating the cause of the mishap.
