Eight people were killed and 23 others injured when moderate earthquake jolted northwestern part of China today. <br/><br/>Measuring 5.5 on the Richter scale, the quake hit autonomous region Taxkorgan county and affected more than 12,000 people. <br/><br/>The rescue teams have relocated more than nine thousand people to safe places.
