Eight killed & 15 injured in Iran train derailment

In Iran, at least eight people have been killed and fifteen others sustained injuries after a passenger train en route from Mashhad to Tehran derailed. According to Iranian channel press TV, the train with 50 passengers aboard left the tracks this morning in Joghatay town – located in Iran's northeastern province of Khorasan Razavi. <br/><br/>The number of casualties may rise as four of the injured are reported to be in critical condition. Ambulances were on the scene as paramedics worked to save passengers trapped inside the wreckage of the train. The injured were taken to nearby hospitals. Officials from Iran Railways have launched an investigation to look into the incident.<br/>
