Eid-ul-Fitr being celebrated across gulf and West Asia today

The Eid-ul-Fitr is being celebrated across Gulf and West Asia today excepting some countries that will celebrate the festival tomorrow.<br/><br/>The authorities in various countries including United Arab Emirates (UAE), Saudi Arab, Syria, Lebanon, Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrain, Jordan, Palestinian and Iraq's Sunni have announced last evening that festival will start from today.<br/><br/>People across these countries are marking the occasion by visiting friends and family. A Large number of people are gathering at parks, as well as at special events organised by various organisations.<br/><br/>Three days of national holidays have been announced in several countries across West Asia beginning from today to celebrate Eid-ul Fitr. Celebrations started last night soon after the announcement, regarding the end of holy month of Ramadan.<br/><br/>Special prayers have been offered in mosques across the region and people cutting across religion and ethnicity are exchanging Eid greetings. Indians living in the region have also joined others in organising special events to celebrate the festivity. During the feast, people visit friends and families and offer sweets to guests, while large numbers of people gather at parks for celebrations.
