Milad-un-Nabi, the birth anniversary of Prophet Mohammad, is being celeberated today with religious fervour.

In the Kashmir valley and Ladakh region, despite severe cold due to snowfall, night-long special prayers were held in mosques, khankhas, Jamia Masjids and other shrines. However, the main function was held at Hazratbal shrine, which houses the Holy Relic of Prophet Mohammad, on the bank of famed Dal Lake.

The authorities had made all arrangements for the devotees visiting the Hazratbal shrine, where thousands of people participated in the prayers.The devotees had the glimpse of Holy Relic after the morning prayers this morning and it will continue after every prayer today.
