Egyptian Government on Tuesday said 16 militants were killed in the North Sinai city of Arish. <br />''<br />''In a statement the interior ministry said, the security forces spotted two bases for terrorists who have planned for a series of terror operations against vital properties and important figures in remote areas in Arish. <br />''<br />''After the forces launched a raid on the hideouts, the two sides exchanged fire, the statement said. <br />''<br />''Ten suspected militants were killed in the Obeidat district of Arish and another six were killed in the Abu Eita district of the city, state-run media said. <br />''<br />''<span style="color: #222222;">Several weapons, ammunition and explosive devices were sized during the raid.</span><br />
