Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak set to return to Egypt after surgery

State media reported that the Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak is to return to Egypt following surgery in Germany. The Official Mena news agency said that Government officials and military leaders will greet Mr Mubarak when he flies into Sharm el-Sheikh today. Mr Mubarak, 81, underwent surgery on 6th of this month to remove his gall bladder and a growth from his small intestine. He has been recuperating in Germany following the operation at Heidelberg University Hospital.Government-run mosques across Egypt have offered prayers for Mr Mubarak's recovery. Mr Mubarak has been in power for 29 years and his fifth six-year term ends in 2011.
