Hundreds of foreign activists have been protesting in Cairo against Egyptian refusal to let them travel to Gaza. The activists were planning to take aid convoys to Gaza to express their solidarity with the Palestinians and marking the start of Israeli offensive in Gaza last year. Egyptians stopped them from crossing into the territory on security grounds.Large number of people protested outside the United Nations building in Cairo and several hundred people camped outside the French Embassy.
