Egypt will open its Rafah crossing with the Gaza Strip from 28th May.According to Egypt’s official Middle East News Agency, the Military government took the decision to open the crossing as part of its efforts to end the status of the Palestinian division and achieve national reconciliation.The blockade on Rafa border resulted in operation of hundreds of smuggling tunnels under Gaza-Egypt border. The tunnels have been used to bring in various types of products, as well as people. Israel however charges that Hamas used the tunnels to import weapons.
