Egypt sets deadline for the Qatari Ambassador to leave following the decision to snap all diplomatic ties with Qatar. Egypt has asked the Qatari Ambassador in Cairo to leave the country within 48 hours. <br/><br/>It has also recalled its own diplomatic staff in Doha. A statement from the Foreign Ministry of Egypt said that the "Qatari Ambassador was summoned today and given formal notification of the expiry of his accreditation as an ambassador to Egypt, and has been given 48 hours to leave the country."<br/><br/>Meanwhile, Maldives has also declared its intent of cutting its ties with Qatar because of its "firm opposition to activities that encourage terrorism and extremism". According to reports Maldives is struggling with a large number of youths enlisting to fight for Islamic State in the Middle East. <br/><br/>Meanwhile US Secretary of State Rex Tillerson has said that Washington encourages the Gulf States to resolve their differences. Russia on the other hand has said that it wants the Gulf situation to be 'stable and peaceful'. Turkey has also called for discussion to resolve the dispute.
