An Empowered Group of Ministers, EGoM has been constituted to quickly resolve infrastructural issues and to ensure speedy implementation of power projects. Altogether 94 power projects are pending in the country for clearance from Environment and other ministries. Addressing the Consultative Committee meeting of his ministry in New Delhi yesteday, Power Minister, Jyotiraditya Scindia said that once these projects are cleared, it will add another 37,000 MW of power. He said that the Power Ministry is holding frequent meetings with the Coal, Environment and Water Resources Ministries for speedy execution of these projects.
