A mass recall of eggs in the United States has been extended as an outbreak of Salmonella food poisoning gets worse. Health officials have identified two farms in the state of Iowa as the source of the outbreak and awarded the recall of about 550 million eggs. As many as 1300 people are now thought to have been infected.
