Government on Wednesday said, it is making all efforts to seek the release of six Indian hostages on board an Egyptian cargo ship which was hijacked by Somali pirates in the Gulf of Aden.Speaking to reporters in New Delhi, External affairs minister S M Krishna maintained that the Shipping Ministry is the nodal authority in all cases involving Indians taken hostage by pirates. He, however, said Indian missions have been advised to help the shipping ministry in seeking release of hostages. He said that he also spoke to Ambassador in Cairo to get the sailors released.
