Efforts on to resolve seat sharing issue between Shiv Sena & BJP in Maharashtra

Efforts are still on to end stalemate over seat sharing between Shiv Sena and BJP in Maharashtra for the October 15 assembly elections.

BJP’s senior leader Vinod Tawde today informed that Shiv Sena leader Subhash Desai has given a new proposal which says Shiv Sena will contest 155 seats, BJP will be allotted 126 seats and 7 seats will be given to Swabhimani Shetkari Sanghtana.

Speaking to reporters after party’s core committee meeting Tawde said that BJP State Unit Chief Devendra Fadanvis will held a meeting with Shiv Sena Chief Uddhav Thackray regarding the news proposal and decide about the final seat-sharing.

This was the second meeting of BJP core committee in Mumbai since this morning.

Meanwhile, Shiv Sena spokesman Sanjay Raut today said that party chief Udhav Thackeray will take a final decision on seat sharing and tomorrow he will make official announcement on it.
