The Maoists have not yet released the abducted BDO, Prashant Kumar Layak, of Dhalbhumgarh Block in West Singbhum district of Jharkhand. The State Government is making all out efforts to get the kidnapped DBO released from the clutches of the ultras.<br/><br/>Meanwhile, accepting a key demand of Maoists for the safe release of the abducted BDO, the State Chief Minister said that the legal process has begun to free some of the jailed Maoist cadres, whom the ultra outfit claimed to be innocent. The Chief Minister also appealed to the Maoists to set free the abducted BDO at the earliest.<br/><br/>The Maoists, who abducted the BDO from Dhalbhumgarh Block Office on Saturday, had earlier demanded a statement from the Chief Minister on their conditions to set free the BDO.<br/><br/>The extremists had yesterday said that they will release BDO if the State Government gives in writing regarding fulfillment of their demands including unconditional release of 14 of their cadres, arrested by the police. The Maoists had alleged that all the arrested persons were implicated in false cases by the police.<br/><br/>Earlier in the day yesterday, giving time and space to Maoists to release the BDO, government put on hold the ongoing search operations.
