Venkaiah Naidu today said efforts of the scientists and experiments in laboratories should reach to countryside. </span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Addressing the Ryots and Agricultural Scientists at Swarana Bharat Trust in Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh, Mr Naidu said foremost need in the country is to double the income of farmers by making agriculture resilient, sustainable and profitable.&nbsp;</span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">He said concerted efforts are required from every stakeholder to ensure that there is no agrarian distress in the country.</span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">The Vice President said farmers should also be educated on the need to diversify crops and take up allied farm activities.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Earlier, he inaugurated an Exhibition on Agriculture interacted with farmers.&nbsp;Mr Naidu was also felicitated by his well wishers over conferring, Honorary Doctorate by the United Nations' University for Peace.</span><br />
