Efforts are taken to find amicable solution to Koodankulam Nuclear Plant issue: Govt

Union Minister of State for Prime Minister’s Office Sh V Narayanaswamy has said that all efforts are being taken to find an amicable solution to Koodankulam Nuclear Power Plant issue.

Speaking to reporters in Palani, Dindigul he said that Tamil Nadu government is cooperating with the state government in resolving the problem. He said that the Koodankulam Power plant is absolutely safe and urged the protesters to call off their strike immediately.

Meanwhile, the expert committee appointed by Central government led by its convener Noor-ul-Islam University Vice chancellor Dr A E Muthunayagam will be inspecting the Koodankulam Nuclear power plant on the 15th, 16th and 17th of this month.

After the inspection the committee will be replying to the questions raised by the Tamil Nadu committee.
