<span style="color: #222222;">Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma said, steps are being taken to conduct 1 lakh tests daily in the state. Talking to newspersons in Guwahati after a review meeting, the Chief Minister said, 20 thousand people would be tested daily in Guwahati from Monday. He also informed that from Monday onwards, COVID patients above the age of 50 years, who do not have separate toilets  in their homes, would have to be mandatorily shifted to COVID care centres or hospitals. Mr.Sarma also said that a fresh set of Standard Operating Procedures for tea garden areas would be issued by the Health department today.  He said, steps are being taken for providing food items worth 2000 rupees as one-time allowance to poor patients in containment zones.</span><br />
