Pakistani Prime Minister Yussuf Raza Gilani told mourners at a funeral service for the Government Minister, Shahbaz Bhatti, shot dead by Islamist militants on Wednesday that every effort will be made to bring his killers to justice. Bhatti, the only Christian in Pakistan's Cabinet, had been spearheading a campaign to amend the country's controversial blasphemy law which can result in the death penalty for those convicted. A report says Bhatti's coffin has left for Faisalabad where his burial will take place in his native village. Earlier his funeral service was held amid tight security in the capital Islamabad. Pakistan's top government leaders including Prime Minister Yussuf Raza Gilani were in attendance. Foreign diplomats and leaders also came to pay tribute. Hundreds of people are now waiting in Faisalabad to pay their respects to Bhatti who has become a martyr for the local Christian community. Bhatti had said he will rather die than given to the extremists.
