The government today said, more than 13.15 crore LED bulbs have been distributed by Energy Efficiency Services Limited, EESL and approximately eight crores by other suppliers till 18th of this month. <br/><br/>In a written reply in Rajya Sabha, Minister of State for Power Piyush Goyal said, 77 crore conventional incandescent bulbs are to be replaced with LED bulbs by March 2019. He said, EESL is playing an important role in replacing these bulbs, while several other suppliers are also engaged in the same.
