<span style="color: #222222;">Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank today reviewed various activities of National Institute of Open Schooling, NIOS in New Delhi. During the meeting, Mr Pokhriyal stressed on transparent working of the institution so that it can produce better results.&nbsp;</span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">He also discussed strengthening the examination mechanism. The Minister said that if any irregularity is found within the institution then tough actions should be taken against the culprits. He directed NIOS&nbsp;officials that&nbsp;if they receive any complaint against NIOS examination centres then they should resolve the complaint as soon as possible.&nbsp;</span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">The Minister suggested creating a dashboard that must contain detailed information and contacts of all centres across the country. It will have all the information and suggestions from stakeholders so that transparency will be increased in the system.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">&nbsp;</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">The Education Minister said that NIOS is the world's biggest open schooling system and it should be used more effectively to provide education to the grassroot level.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">&nbsp;</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Mr Pokhriyal also reviewed the courses offered by NIOS for their students. The Minister also reviewed the work of NIOS during COVID-19 crisis. He directed NIOS to fill all the vacancies as soon as possible.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">&nbsp; &nbsp;</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">The meeting was attended by School Education and Literacy Secretary Anita Karwal, Joint Secretary, School Education Sweety Changsan and senior officials of NIOS.</span><br />'' &nbsp;
