Enforcement Directorate (ED) has summoned former Finance Minister P Chidambaram's wife Nalini Chidambaram in connection with multi crore Saradha chit fund scam. Sources said she has been asked to appear before the Investigating Officer of the case early next month in Kolkata where she is likely to record her statement under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA). <br/><br/>Nalini, was a legal consultant of the Saradha group. The ED wants to understand the exact flow of funds to her as a legal fee from Saradha company accounts and the contract made therein. Nalini had earlier been questioned by the ED and CBI in this regard but sources claimed she has been summoned on the light of new evidence. <br/><br/>Saradha Chairman Sudipta Sen who is in jail, had mentioned about hiring Nalini as a lawyer. Early this year, the ED had filed a charge sheet in this case in a special PMLA court in Kolkata.
