In Puducherry, a team Enforcement Directorate officials has reportedly questioned Lt. Governor Iqbal Singh on his alleged links with Hasan Ali, who has been arrested in money laundering case. AIR correspondent reports that the private secretary to the Governor confirmed that a team of three officials of the Directorate reached Raj Niwas late this evening and went upstairs to meet the Lt. Governor, who was alone in his room. He refused to confirm or deny the officials meeting Iqbal Singh or questioning him. The Lt. Governor of Puducherry had admitted that in 1997 when he was member of Parliament, he had recommended issuance of passport to Hassan Ali Khan though he did not know him personally.
