The Enforcement Directorate (ED) issued notices to the Adarsh Society and its members to furnish information regarding payment towards the purchase of flats. Following severe orders by the Bombay High Court to initiate inquiry into the allegations of benami transactions and money laundering the ED began its probe into the matter. The agency issued summons to the members of the Society directing them to furnish information regarding purchase of flats in the 31-storey Adarsh housing Society and mode of payment. According to the ED sources, some members of the society had furnished the replies while information from the arrested members will take more time.
