Economists today asked the Finance Minister Mr.Pranab Mukherjee to continue with the fiscal stimulus until firm economic recovery amid intense speculations about a possible withdrawal of measures taken to spur the economy.Talking to reporters aftera meeting with the Finance Minister the Director of National Institute of Public Finance and Policy Mr. Govinda Rao said at the same time it is important that fiscal consolidation is given due attention. The government had given three stimulus packages totaling 1,86, 000 crore rupees as duty cuts and other relief measures to boost the sagging Indian economy. Another economist Partha Sen said the stimulus measures should not be withdrawn hastily as India is still not out of the woods.<br/><br/>
