Government says, steady economic growth and job creation is essential for all Commonwealth countries. This provides the means for delivering essential services and strengthening national resilience.

Addressing the 3 day Biennial Conference of Commonwealth Association of Public Administration and Management (CAPAM), in New Delhi on Friday, Minister of State for Personnel, Mr. V. Narayanasami said that good governance builds trust between the state and citizens and stimulates market and investments.

The Minister said that developing countries should strengthen the capacities of public institutions on priority basis.

Speaking on the occasion, the Cabinet Secretary, A.K Seth called for intensifying interaction among the member countries to ensure good governance.

AIR Correspondent reports that Ministers, Heads of Public Services and Heads of delegations from 22 countries participated in the conference. The next conference will be held in Malaysia in 2014.
