In Manipur, the indefinite economic blockade along the National Highways by the Sadar Hills District hood Demand Committee have called off last night.This follows an agreement between the District- -hood Demand Committee and Manipur Government after a marathon meeting at the residence of the Chief Minister Okram Ibobi Singh last night.After a tough negotiation both the government and the Sadar Hills District hood Demand Committee have agreed to upgrade the Sadar Hills area into a district only after getting the report of the District Reorganization Committee headed by the state Chief Secretary D S Poonia.The Government has also agreed to create three more sub-divisions in the Sadar Hills area in addition to the existing three within this month.The Government also agreed to withdraw all cases pending against the agitating leaders. With the suspension of the economic blockade people heaved a sigh of relieve when the news broke out that the indefinite economic blockade has called off temporarily after 92 days.
