The Election Commission of India, ECI, has ordered the transfer of Bihar's Home Secretary Amir Subhani, 9 District Magistrates and 7 police officials including Senior Superintendent of Police ahead of Assembly polls. In its order, the Commission has said that those transferred from Districts should not be posted to any election-related post. The ECI has appointed Sudhir Kumar Rakesh an IAS officer of 1983 batch as state's new Home Secretary.<br/><br/>AIR correspondent reports the Commission has sought a compliance report form the State Chief Secretary within 24 hours along with copies of transfer orders.
