"Echo" exhibition highlights India's women-led initiatives for sustainable development

The formal segment of the 3rd Development Working Group (DWG) meeting of G-20 began in Goa on Tuesday. More than 80 delegates from G20 Members, 9 invitee countries, and various international and regional organizations participated in the meeting that will be held from 9-11 May 2023.<br />''<br />''Delegates from different countries across globe commenced discussions on developmental aspects focussing on Women Led Development. Delegates discussed a section of India's proposed Action Plan, which focuses on strengthening data-informed approaches to development and bridging the data divide. A Session on one of India's core priorities – digital transformation for all was held.<br />'' <br />''An exhibition showcasing India's women-led initiatives, titled "ECHO" – Economy with safe climate and health leads to greater opportunities was organized by the Ministry of Women and Child Development in collaboration with the Ministry of External Affairs at the side-lines meeting.<br />'' <br />''The theme "Echo" reflects the impact of women-led development and its significant role in sustainable development. Women representatives of different states of India, the National Skill Development Corporation, Ministry of Textiles, APEDA, Tea Board, Spice Board, Ambi Udyogini Prathisthan, Eunnati Foundation, Kalyashastra, women self-help groups, and women-led start-ups and enterprises-such as Sea6, Jal Sakhi, and Digital Sakhi-participated in the exhibition.<br />'' <br />''India currently holds the Presidency of the G20.It is an inter-governmental forum of the world's 20 major developed and developing economies.<br />''<span style="color: #222222;">The 3rd Development Working Group meeting of G-20 will continue till 11th May which will include panel discussions various developmental aspects focussing on women-led development approach.</span><br />
