In Punjab, on the directions of the Election Commission of India, Deputy Commissioners of four districts and police chiefs of five districts have been transferred.Besides, one IAS and eight PCS officers have also been transferred. This was stated by state Chief Electoral Officer Ms. Kusumjit Sidhu in Chandigarh on Tuesday.Election Commission has also rejected the Punjab government's decision of octroi relief on diesel and petrol which was given the day on which elections were announced.
