<span style="color: #222222;">The Election Commission has decided to call for a panel of names for the post of Mizoram Chief Electoral Officer from the State Chief Secretary. This came in the wake of controversy over current CEO S B Shashank. </span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">The Commission held a meeting in New Delhi  today over the issue. Official sources clarified that no decision has been taken over the removal of the current CEO. </span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">The sources also said, further steps will only be taken after receiving report from a high level team headed by Deputy Election Commissioner which is visiting the state. </span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">The  NGO Coordination Committee of Mizoram are questioning the removal of the state's principal secretary (Home) by S B Shashank. They are also demanding removal of the CEO. </span><br />
