Election Commission will announce poll dates for Jammu and Kashmir and Jharkhand Assembly elections today. The Commission will hold a press conference this evening in this regard. The current term of eighty-one member Jharkhand Assembly expires on 3rd of January next year.

As against five year term for state Assemblies in the country, eighty-seven member Jammu and Kashmir Assembly has six year term which will expire on 19th of January next year.
