A five-member Election Commission team led by the Chief Election Commission V.S. Sampat held a series of talks in Shimla today with representatives of various political parties and senior officials to review the preparedness of assembly elections to the state assembly of Himachal Pradesh due to be held by the end of this year. Later talking to the newsmen, the Chief Election Commissioner Mr Sampat said that he has taken feedbacks from the different political parties and officials and accordingly, the assembly elections in the state will be announced at the right time. He said that on the request of political parties the election commission has extended up 18th of this month for inclusion and deletion of names in the electoral rolls and the final list of electoral rolls will be published on the 9th of next month. He said the list of electoral rolls is available in the website of the election commission for verification.
