The Election Commission today revoked the star campaigner status of Congress leader and former Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh Kamal Nath citing repeated violation of Model Code of Conduct. In an order, the Commission said, it has observed that Mr Nath despite being a leader of a political party is breaching the ethical and dignified behaviour. It said, no permission will be granted by the District Election Officer of Returning Officer to Mr. Nath as a star campaigner for the current bye-elections of the Legislative Assembly of Madhya Pradesh.<br />''<br />''The Commission said, if any campaign is done by Mr Kamal Nath from now onwards, the entire expenditure will be borne by the candidate in whose constituency campaign is being done.<br />''<br />''Campaigning for the by-election to the state Assembly is underway in Madhya Pradesh.
