Election Commission has reprimanded Gujarat Agriculture Minister Dilip Sanghani for violating model code of conduct and cautioned him to be careful in future. The Commission in its order said that Mr Sanghani has been found guilty of violating the model code of conduct by laying the foundation stone of a road project in Bataravadi area of Amreli municipality of Gujarat on 4th of this month.The Model Code came into force on 3rd October following the declaration of poll schedules for the Assembly Election in the State. After carefully considering Minister's reply and witnessing the CD of the function , the Commission observed that the Mr. Sanghani duly participated in the function and violated the model code of conduct. The Commission had issued a notice to him on 9th October seeking explanation by 15th.
