Election Commission has rejected the objection against the nomination of Aam Aadmi Party candidate N D Gupta. <br/><br/>As ordered by the Returning Officer of Delhi, Mr Gupta appeared before the Commission and submitted his clarification. He said, he has already resigned from the post of trustee of the government-owned National Pension Scheme Trust.<br/><br/>Earlier, the Congress had filed a complaint against Mr Gupta demanding rejection of his candidature for the upper house. Delhi Congress Chief Ajay Maken had claimed that Mr Gupta was appointed as the trustee of National Pension Scheme Trust in 2015 and he still holds the office and therefore is ineligible to contest the elections.<br/>
