In Andhra Pradesh, the Election Commission has rejected a total 84 nominations in the bye-elections for a Lok Sabha and 18 Assembly Constituencies. After scrutiny of nomination papers today, the election authorities have found a total 281 nominations in proper form. Out of which, 13 nominations are filed for Nellore Lok Sabha constituency while rest of the 268 filed for 18 Assembly seats. Coming Monday is the last date of withdrawal of nominations and the polling will be held on 12th of next month. The Bye-election is necessitated following resignation of Nellore sitting Lok Sabha member and disqualification of 18 sitting MLAs in the state.
