The Election Commission has proposed to introduce an option 'none of the Above' in the ballot.

Talking exclusively to All India Radio, Chief Election Commissioner S Y Qureshi clarified that the Commission's proposal is not on the lines of 'right to reject'.

He added that Election Commission is in discussion with the government regarding electoral reforms. Mr. Qureshi said that 'Right to Recall' proposed by Team Anna is not practical in the country's democratic set up. He added that the Commission is committed to throw out electoral mal-practices like paid news and use of money and muscle power.

The Chief Election Commissioner also said that awareness generation among the voters is also on the priority list.
