The Election Commission of India has postponed the hearing fixed for tomorrow in the case against Steel Minister Beni Prasad Verma for alleged violation of model code of conduct over his minorities sub-quota remarks following a request from the complainant.

In a letter sent to Mr Verma and complainant BJP leader Syed Shahnawaz Hussain, the Commission has said that the hearing will now be held on the 27th of this month.
