EC orders to shift 6 IAS, 5 IPS officers in Bihar

The Election Commission has instructed the Bihar Government to shift 6 IAS and 5 IPS officers. These officers include five District Magistrates, three SPs, one IG, one DIG and one Divisional Commissioner.AIR Patna correspondent reports, the state government transferred these officers late last night. Meanwhile, the Congress party has released the first list of 77candiadtes for the State assembly elections. Fourteen women candidates figure in the list. The state congress president Mehboob Ali Kaiser has been fielded from Simri Bakhtiarpur and legislator Party leader Ashok Ram will be candidate from Kusheswar Asthan. Women candidates include former MP Lovely Anand who will contest from Alamnagar. The party has already decided to go to it alone in the assembly elections and is fielding candidates in all the 243 constituencies. The Jharkhand Mukti Morcha also released its first list of 19 candidates. While releasing the names, JMM chief Sibu Shoren said, the party has decided to contest 85 seats. The RJD and Janata Dal(United) have not finalised the list of their candidates yet.
