Election Commission today ordered removal of West Bengal Director-General of Police, Virendra with immediate effect. It has appointed P Nirajnayan as DG and IGP in his place Mr Virendra. <br />''<br />''<span style="color: #222222;">In its order, the poll body also directed the state Chief Secretary that Virendra should not be given any post that directly or indirectly relates to conduct of election. The Commission said decision has been taken after reviewing the poll preparedness in the state.</span><br />
