EC orders re-poll in 67 polling stations in Manipur

Election Commission has ordered re-poll in 67 polling stations covering nine assembly constituencies in five hill districts in Manipur. In an official press release issued on Wednesday evening, the state Chief Electoral Officer P C Lawkunga said that re-poll will be held on the 4th of March from 7AM to 3PM. The re-poll is necessitated following large scale malpractices during the polling of the state assembly elections on the 28th of January last. Of the 67 polling stations, 26 are in Chandel district and 31 in Senapati district, eight in Tamenglong district and one each in Churachandpur and Ukhrul districts.
