The visiting team of observers of the Election Commission on Tuesday toured different Districts of the State, to make an assessment of the Law and Order situation. The Six member team divided itself into three groups of two members each and went to different Districts. One group went to Shason in Barasat in North 24-Parganas District after meetings with high District Officials. Another group held administrative meetings with District officials of West Midnapur at the Circuit house, before leaving for Purulia. The Third group of observers went to Suri in Birbhum District after visiting Burdwan.
