EC objects to felicitate sports person from North East by MDONER from model code of conduct angle<br/><br/>Election commission has taken objection to felicitation of sports person from North East by the Ministry of Development of North Eastern Region, DONER, without prior permission from model code of conduct angle. In a letter to the secretaries of the Ministries of DONER and Home, the commission has sought the reply by 3:00 PM on Saturday. The poll body said that it has come to its notice through media reports that the two Ministries felicitated nine sportspersons who had participated in Rio Olympics from North-Eastern States.
