The Election Commission has issued warning to Assam Chief minister Dr f for violating model code of conduct. The EC also has cautioned him to be more careful and exercise restraint in future and strictly follow the provisions of Model code of conduct while making public utterances.<br />''<br />''<span style="color: #222222;">Earlier, the Election Commission of India has issued a notice to Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma and sought  an explanation from him for violating model code of conduct while campaigning for the upcoming byelections in five assembly constituencies in the state. Dr Sarma also tendered an unconditional apology to the Commission in case of any inadvertent violation of any of the provisions of the Model code of conduct by himself. </span><br />
